For the detection of the disease (diagnosis) it requires special care. Home-video recordings can be very helpful in the assessment of possible epileptic seizures. A definite diagnosis is the basis for the decision on possible forms of therapy. It allows an assessment of the expected disease progression.
The close cooperation between inpatient and outpatient care as well as participating disciplines allows a customized approach to the care for epileptic children and adolescents.
