Breast Centre

When teams of experts meet under one roof, a second opinion is only one door away - existing knowledge and skills are combined to fully serve our patients. In particular, the diagnosis and treatment of patients with breast disease require extensive expertise and rich experience of various fields, which we combine in our Breast Centre.

Only in a specialist center like this diagnostics, surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy and hormone therapy including psychological support can be combined.

Our Breast Centres have been awarded the certification of the German Cancer Society (DKG) and the German Society for Senology (DGS).

To receive this award, it is mandatory to perform at least 150 operations on women who are newly diagnosed with breast cancer per year and to follow the standards in screening, diagnosis, treatment and follow-up care set by the German Cancer Society and the German Society for Senology. Only in the Breast Centre at the DRK Kliniken Berlin | Westend more than 250 such interventions are performed each year and in total more than 500 breast surgeries per year ,including benign tumors and recurrences. In addition, we are recognized treatment centre as part of Breast Cancer Disease Management Program (DMP).

We treat our patients according to the latest findings of research and receive support by scientific studies. From our experience we can say that many of our patients are seeking treatment by taking part in a study.
